Our constant search of the innovation in processes and products distinguishes us and places us as a company with real focus on a strategic sustainability. In order to concentrate innovating ideas, and following the concept of collaboration and interrelation with the community, we carried out the program “Open Innovation”.

Said program allowed us to be in touch and work together globally with the creators of innovating ideas, respecting the intellectual property of the creators and guaranteeing an appropriate economical benefit.

During 2015, we received 13 proposals. Two of them were considered interesting for Molinos and they are going through the investigation and development stage. Additionally, during 2015 we continued working on 5 projects initiated on 2014.

AUTOMATIC OPTIMIZATION OF VARIABLES

Our aim is to automatize the calculation of the different possible variables, identifying the best combination in order to obtain the best efficiency, taking into account the current conditions. This could be used for the production of oil and other products.

PRODUCTION OF BIOLOGICAL REACTANT BY FERMENTATION

We made some progress together with CONICET investigators from Santa Fé Province, in the project about developing a biological reactant factory, which is obtained by fermentation. The use of these products generates value in the soy industrialization chain. The aim of this project is to produce the reactant instead of buying it.

ENZYMATIC DEGUMMED

In 2015, the 3° generation of enzymes in San Lorenzo was implemented, increasing the yield of oil from 1.8 % to 2.3 %. (extra yield). The first generation was used in 2010 and from that moment on more than 60.000tons of additional oils were recovered.
